Reflection

In his book, Renovation of the Heart: Putting on the Character of Christ, Dallas Willard wrote:

A carefully cultivated heart will, assisted by the grace of God, foresee, forestall, or transform most of the painful situations before which others stand like helpless children saying “Why?”

Take a moment now to reflect on this quote. What painful situations could have been foreseen, forestalled, or transformed in your life with a more cultivated heart?

Now, take a few to reflect on this week’s readings.

What gaps have you, or will you now, identify, analyze, and strategize to change?

What have you seen the Lord do in your life this week?

Are there any ways in which your thinking has changed in regards to spiritual growth?

Reflecting on your previous answers, what do you think the Lord wants you to do in the future?
